This cropped chore jacket is made from a French denim ticking fabric dating to circa 1870. Rustic dark blue with aged white; used to be a mattress stuffed with feathers that has since been opened up and feathers let out. Some still linger.

The word demin stems from this fabric! It was woven in Nimes, france and came to be known as Toile de Nimes , or fabric of Nimes ; Denim.

 

Vintage-inspired fit. Slightly tapered waist.
Pointed collar. Six metal coat buttons. One red contrast hand sewn buttonhole.
Two waist patch pockets and one interior left chest pocket.
Long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Two back adjustable plackets.
Made in California.
Dry clean only.
