This chore jacket is made from two 18th century European linen grain sacks. Hand woven on a narrow loom.  This textile uses fibers that would have been produced on the family farm, and they were woven by hand to be used for grain harvest.

Original "S" monogram and stamp.

Original mending throughout.

Each family hand a distinctive stripe, monogram or stamp, so that the miller could return the sack once processed to the rightful family.


Vintage-inspired fit.
Slightly tapered waist.
Shawl collar. Five coat buttons.
Two waist patch pockets. Chest patch pocket.
Long sleeves with buttoned cuffs.
Subtle cutaway hem.
Made in California.
Dry clean only.

Size medium: 27" front body length, 18.5" shoulder, 45" chest, 34" sleeve length.

 

Each textile bares marks of the past. All signs of wear, character, stains and mending are reminders of its' history, and original to every carefully curated and preserved textile. Hand made in California.
