Late 1800's hand woven European linen bolt. Finely woven, floppy construction dyed a dusky, dark muted blue tone. Dyed at a more recent date using a modern hot water dye. Originally woven for clothing or sheeting with its fine weave. It took the average weaver an entire night to weave only 21 inches of this fine linen. And that's after growing the plants, retting and spinning the flax into threads and yarns.
