A pair of two early 19th Century soft blue striped grain sacks. Nubby linen. This sack was hand woven and was once used for storing grains.
This textile uses fibers that were produced on a family farm, and woven by hand for grain and olive harvest.
The stripe on the grain sack indicated which family farm it belonged to and ensured that the miller returned the sack to its rightful owner.
