Circa 1900 toile daybed cover. The toile print is "L'escarpolette", which is French for "The Swing." The pattern depicts a young girl swinging while surrounded by scenes of life in the countryside. This textile is constructed with a medium to heavy weight cotton fabric and machine stitched. It is a little worn which makes it extremely smooth to the touch. Creamy yellow beige ground with a deep burgundy print.
