Circa 1900's European blanket. Hand woven hemp and wool. Woven in the Carpathian Mountain Region of Europe. It uses a complex weave and is woven using both linen (heavy hemp) and natural wool from goats - constructed by weaving the 2 lengths, stitched in a primitive hand stitch. The colars are pale natural hemp and deep dark chocolate brown wool. The tone of the wool has a slight pinkish hue. Heavy weight.
