Pre-WWII Mariners Compass Quilt. Teal green and pink. Hand sewn by a wife and mother named Cecelia Valter Zirkelback. The last black and white photo is from 1906 with her husband Peter. They were a prominent family in Ridgeway, Illinois. The quilt was passed down in the family finally to the granddaughter who kept very good care of her grandmothers quilts, and is now retired.
