This overshirt is made from a 19th century French loom woven homespun linen. Plaid with old red color, originally used for napkins. Flecks of flax represent its rustic texture. Pieces of this nature were generally home loomed by farmers in the Alsace region and areas of Germany and Eastern Europe. Primarily used for dowries.
 
*The quality is scratchy and should be worn with an undershit. Hand washing will soften.
