This jacket is made from a 1940 tied wool patchwork quilt. From a family in the American northeast. Hand quilted small squares and large squares of wool, tweed, houndstooth and solids; hand pieced from remnants of suiting fabrics. The lining is original to the quilt; a purple and deep pink striped flannel. Hand tied yarn ties.
