This double breasted coat is made from an early 1900's Turkish Tulu Rug. These rugs were originally used by Turkish shepherds as blankets.

Three front horn toggle closures.
Two single welt chest pockets.
Two welted waist pockets with flaps.
Buckled belt at front waist made from a repurposed vintage hikers pack strap.

Each textile bares marks of the past. All signs of wear, character, stains and mending are reminders of its' history, and original to every carefully curated and preserved textile. Hand made in California.
