This trench style coat is made from a c.1900 stacked block patchwork quilt. Turkey red, cranberry, indigo and cadet blue, with early calicos, all very typical of the times. Lightweight quilt made in Vermont backed with a floral paisly. Originally hand pieced by grandmother and gifted to be used as a light blanket by the Stevensen family.
