This jacket is made from 3 primitive 1880’s American woven grain sacks. Well used on an upstate New York farmstead by the Hotckiss family. Used and reused with decades of unique hand repairs, and branded by its original user, John A. Hotchkiss.

 

Five front brass buttons

Long sleeves with buttoned cuffs

Two chest patch pockets

Two front waist patch pockets

Boxy fit

Model is is 6’0” wearing size medium

18 1/4” shoulder, 28 1/2” back body

length, 23 1/2” sleeve length

 

Each textile bares marks of the past. All signs of wear, character, stains and mending are reminders of its' history, and original to every carefully curated and preserved textile. Hand made in California.
