This is a c.1800s four patch period print quilt. It spent most of its life in Southmont, North Carolina, whre it was loved lightly and appreciated greatly for its value as a handmade craftswoman piece of art. Hand stitched and pieced from a variety of cotton period print fabrics, and finished with a double border with four patch corner blocks.
