This is a 1930 Wool Block Patchwork Quilt. It was made by a grandfather and grandmother in the mid-1930's. The Grandfather worked for Sears for many years, altering men's suits. When he retired he did a little of the same kind of work at home. This quilt was made from scraps and or samples of wool fabric of men's suits that he had from his working days. Grandmother did the hand sewing on the quilt . See the letter from mom in 2004 for the personal narrative. Very heavy from Lafayette, Colorado.
