This coat is made from a 1925 Wool Patchwork Crazy Quilt from Shelbyville, Indiana. Likely made as a utility quilt from cut up remnants of prior wool garments. Embroidered with the year "1925" and initials of the maker, "B.D."


Four vintage wooden coat toggle buttons from Connecticut.

Braided leather loop closures with leather details.

Leather buckled throat latch.

Two front welted lined patch pockets. One front lined breast patch pocket.

Lined with deadstock faux sheerling.

Adjustable waist plackets with brass buttons.

Model is 6'1". Size Medium.


Each textile bares marks of the past. All signs of wear, character, stains and mending are reminders of its' history, and original to every carefully curated and preserved textile. Hand made in California.
