Two 18th century Portuguese hand woven linen and cotton grain sacks. This textile is distinctive by its painted monogram, "NR", and blue plaid stripes. Each family hand their own particular stripe, color or even a stamp, so that the miller could return the sack, once processed, to the rightful family
