This blazer is made from a late 18th Century Plaid French Ticking. Originally used as a mattress pad cover, stuffed with feathers and straw. Original hand-mending and darning from centuries of use and practical upkeep. The lining is repurposed from a circa 1940's Russian roller printed cotton.

Each textile bares marks of the past. All signs of wear, character, stains and mending are reminders of its' history, and original to every carefully curated and preserved textile. Hand made in California.
